The weight of the world is a lot to put on a 16-year-olds shoulders.

As soon as he gets there, his heart drops. It was Technoblade's house. There was no where to go, and so he goes in, takes the bare minimum of what he needs, and starts going down. It was so cold, and he was hurting all over, but he manages to mine himself a little hole underneath Techno's basement. And he falls asleep.
Or, Tommy runs from exile and Techno is trying to be a good brother. And Dream is screwed.

Summary
Technoblade finds Ranboo after he leaves L’Manburg. He sees this shaking kid leaning against a tree, and while he feels a bit of pity, he otherwise doesn’t care much. The voices in his head are screaming about what would Phil do? They want him to take the kid in, not that Techno cares. But the kid is right under a hive he wants to collect honey from. He needs that honey. He takes a deep breath, preparing for some Tommy-esque demon child, and says "Move."
The kid isn't like Tommy, Once he realizes someone is standing over him he apologizes profusely, stands up and shifts to the side. Apologizing all the way. The kid gets up like it hurts, his eyes are averted like he’s scared, but the glimpse Techno gets tells him they're glazed like he’s listening to something in his own head, and he’s wringing his hands like he expects the worst. There are burns on his palms, running down his cheeks, and his clothes are absolutely soaked through with snow.
Techno doesn’t care about this kid or what happens to him.
He really, really doesn’t. But.
He gestures at the kid to follow him, and when the kid does, he curses himself in his head. What the fuck is he doing. He must be going insane.

Technoblade slowly dragged his fingers along the spines of his books, carefully reading each title.
The Art Of War!
Technoblade snorted softly. He'd read Sun Tzu's The Art of War front to back so many times he has the entire thing memorized
"I suppose I could read it again," Technoblade mused, hand drifting towards where he knows the novel was located.
YES!
Technoblade's lips twitched into a small small at the voices happy cheer. His fingers were moments away from closing around the well loved book when he stilled, ears flicking to attention. His entire body tensed as he suddenly became hyper aware of every sound in his house.
The fireplace crackled gently, the wind gently sung outside, his heart pounded in his ears, and- there.
A muffled cry of distress.
Techno finds Tommy curled up below his basement, starving and covered in injuries and flinching at the smallest of movements, and he is furious. As Technoblade tries his hardest to help Tommy heal, Phil finds himself struggling to cope with his failures as a father, and the rest of the SMP is forced to confront the consequences of their actions. At least Ghostbur has plenty of blue to go around?

“Uh, hey guys? Can I, uh, just stay out here for a bit?” Tommy asks, tentatively. He’s too proud to admit that he can’t sleep, that he’s plagued by flashbacks. Big men don’t show weakness, after all. And Tommy is the epitome of a big man.
The three older men immediately know something is up - they can tell by the boy’s skin that’s shiny with sweat, by the terror in his eyes - but fortunately, are all tactful enough to let it be for now.
Techno opens his arms wide. “Come here,” he says, and Tommy makes a beeline for his arms.
The youngest boy never thought he’d take comfort in embracing his slightly wild older brother, but hugs him tightly regardless.

Tommy escapes exile when Dream blows up Logstedshire - gets super injured, tired, all that jazz. Finds his way to Technoblade, and Ghostbur, and Phil, and Tubbo, and Ranboo, and the whole gang basically except some of them have powers because one night at 4am i thought that would spice it up (also they tie in to the plot so they're not completely random).

When Techno had stumbled across the small arctic village, it had been almost deceptively perfect. There were enough resources for him to set up a base, he could trade with the villagers for food, and no one knew where he was. That was good enough for him.
(Technoblade just wants to live in the arctic alone, is that too much to ask? Apparently yes, as his family keeps dragging him back into their drama. They're lucky he loves them.)
