He also felt like an absolute loser because as much time as he'd spent sitting on the bench directly outside Scoops Ahoy, he couldn't bring himself to actually go in.

Eddie walked out of the bathroom, heading to the kitchen. However, he stopped dead in his tracks at seeing Steve there in his clothes, gripping his Scoops Ahoy uniform shirt to his chest while Wayne leaned against the counter sipping his coffee. Steve turned his head to look back at Eddie with wide eyes, his face bright red.
"Um… right, Wayne, this is Steve. My boyfriend," Eddie said, a little nervously as he looked to his uncle, "Steve, this is my uncle, Wayne."
Wayne gave a single nod, "Nice to finally meet you, Steve. However, Edgar, can we keep the shenanigans confined to your bedroom and not in communal spaces."
