Boys and girls alike huddled in groups, glancing at exceptional seventh-years (and some lucky sixth-years) in the corridors, comparing intelligence levels and strength. It offhandedly reminded Shane of how his muggle friends would choose their avatars in video games, and he couldn’t tell whether he was meant to be offended or not.
He wasn’t quite sure if he was actually interested in competing, but he knew he didn’t have much choice in that. All of Ravenclaw rallied behind him, trumpeting his name to the rest of the school like a show pony. Shane had to admit that the support pleased him, and winning eternal glory didn’t seem like a bad deal."
