Through all the different arcs, seasons, and roleplay of the DreamSMP, Dream has always been there for Tommy. Whether it's comforting him after a difficult lore stream or just lightening the mood with playful banter, Dream knows Tommy well and always tries to care for him.
Tommy doesn't fully realize everything Dream's done for him; not until it's his turn to care for Dream.
