Chapter Text
Peter had been living with Tony at the compound for seven months ever since Aunt May had died in a car accident. They watched movies together, hung out in the lab, and hung out with Rhodey a few times a week.
Peter even helped down in the R&D labs. All the other interns knew him, and they liked it when he came down to help out.
Tony and Peter were currently in Tony’s lab working on their suits when Pepper came in.
“Tony, I need you to come down to the R&D labs to meet the new transfers from Houston,” Pepper told him.
Tony set down his screwdriver and turned in his chair to face his fiancée.
“Alright,” Tony said, getting up. He then turned to Peter.
“Pete, you wanna come with?” he asked.
“Sure, I’ll come,” Peter said, setting down his web shooters he was working on. Even though he has organic webs, tony makes him wear web shooters for safety.
“Great, let’s go,” Pepper said with a smile.
The trio made their way to the labs. They entered, and everyone greeted them with a smile.
The two people Pepper was talking about approached them. The man was tall and had brown hair. The woman was not that much shorter and had a browny-red hair colour.
“Hello,” the man said to them.
“Hello,” Pepper replied.
“My name is Richard, and this is my wife, Mary,” Richard introduced them.
Peter was looking back and forth at the couple while they talked to Tony and Pepper. Mary noticed Peter was looking at her, and she gave him a small smile. He couldn’t place why these people looked so familiar to him, but he just brushed it off as people he probably saw while he was out as Spider-Man. He got snapped out of his thoughts when Tony placed a hand on his shoulder.
“And this is my personal intern, Peter Parker. He’s a smart kid, probably smarter than I was at his age,” Tony praised, and Peter blushed and ducked his head at it.
Richard and Mary shared a look. Tony was now looking at them, thinking why they had a look of scheming on their faces. Mary excused herself to go speak with another intern. When she left, Richard looked to Peter.
“And how old are you, Peter?” he asked.
“I’m 15, sir.”
“You must be really smart to be an intern that young.”
Peter then realised why these two people looked so god damn familiar. They were his parents. But he thought that was impossible; they died when he was five. But he was sure that the man right in front of him was his dad.
All of a sudden, his spider sense started going off. He subtly glanced around to see if he could see anything, but he couldn’t. Tony noticed he was glancing around. He could tell the boy’s sense was going off. They got pulled from their silence when a crash happened from behind him.
They looked behind them to see a cabinet had fallen. Once Tony and Peter had turned away from Richard, that’s when Richard grabbed Peter and put a cloth over his face. Peter slumped into his arms, and Richard left carrying Peter. Not even a few seconds later, Mary also left.
Tony turned back from looking at the little accident that had happened, but when he did, he noticed that Peter, Richard, and Mary were no longer in the room. He looked around the room, and yet he couldn’t see Peter.
He then left to go back to his lab. Maybe Peter had become uncomfortable and went back there. But when he got back to his lab, Peter wasn’t there.
“Fri, where’s Peter?” Tony asked his AI.
“I am not sure, boss. It appears my system was interfered with when he left the building,” FRIDAY told him.
Tony froze. Peter had left the building.
“Fri, are you working well right now?” Tony asked.
“Yes, boss.”
“Pull up any camera footage that Peter’s seen in,” Tony orders.
“Right away, boss.”
