Safe & Sound

Summary:

Test Tube and Fan have been best friends ever since they were both born in Panem, a cruel country that revolves around its Capitol, with the 12 districts surrounding it being under heavy control. They had grown up together in District 3, did everything together, and were practically attached by the hip.

But what happens when they both miraculously get reaped into the Hunger Games, a reality TV show where two tributes from each district, all between the ages of 12-18, battle to the death in an arena?

The two will have to soon battle for both what remains of their morality, and their own survival.

Disclaimers Before you Read:

This differentiates from some already set things in the Hunger Games universe.

- In this AU, two tributes are reaped regardless of gender, due to me wanting to include the many genderqueer and non-binary characters in Inanimate Insanity.
- While this will be based on the first Hunger Games book, a few things will change, such as the arena. (update as of 6/12: i've decided to keep the arena the same as the 74th. SORRY GUYS I CAN'T MAKE AN ARENA I TRIED OKAY)
- There may be a lot of mischaracterizations. I apologize in advance as I am trying my best.
- I'm not sure how frequently I will update this. It's just a bit of a passion project I'm working on!
