Summary
When Shadow was about to fall to Earth after saving it from the ARK, Sonic grabbed his hand and switched their places at the last minute. Now, Shadow is left with grief and confusing feelings he never asked for. In the aftermath, he's made it his mission to watch over Tails, whose own grief and dangerous mental spiral are all too familiar. But when G.U.N. declares them a threat and Eggman releases a mysterious new weapon that seems to mock their past upon the world, survival will mean more than just fighting: It will mean confronting the pain that threatens to destroy them from within.
