Her eyes flicked back to the wine bottles. She could feel the power of Dionysus inside her, a current, a tug that made her feel like herself was slipping away more with every passing second.
"I don’t know how much longer I can keep this under control," she muttered, her voice softer this time. "I can feel it, you know? Every second, the urge to just... let go and become this thing."
"Camilla..." Henry said, his tone gentle yet firm. "You’re still in there. Whatever he’s done to you, it’s not the end. You just need to trust yourself, even when it feels like everything is slipping."
"Stop," Camilla snapped, her voice rougher again. “I know what you’re doing. I’m not just turning into some kind of... drunk party god. It’s more than that. Dionysus isn’t just here," she gestured to her body, "he’s in my mind, my soul. And it’s—" She stopped herself, biting her lip. “It’s hard to tell where he ends and I begin.”
