Summary
Japan begins the slow process of legalizing same-sex marriage by recognizing those licenses from other countries already in existence. Suddenly, hundreds of people who were married outside the country can benefit from the legal protections marriage provides. Most people are ecstatic, but Oikawa Tooru is not.
That’s because Oikawa Tooru got married a decade ago and forgot about it. Now he has to find his husband to get a divorce or he may never check off the remaining steps in his “how to be successful” list. Too bad Iwaizumi Hajime doesn’t seem interested in making it easy.

“Now we're a threesome. What's one more person to a plan?”
“Please don't call it that,” complains Oikawa and even to his ears it comes off a pit petulant.
“What's wrong with threesome,” scoffs his mother, shooting him a disapproving look. Iwaizumi covers his snort with a well places cough. “You have something against the number three now?”“Am I being kicked out of the threesome,” gasps Iwaizumi, not at all believable. He’s really a terrible actor and someone ought to tell him. “Careful how you answer because without me it's just me in your mother and you know what that is?”
“Oh my god,” complains Oikawa putting both hands on his face as he comes to a complete stop. He doesn’t want to run into any innocent bystander. He doesn’t know what he did to deserve this treatment.
Iwaizumi leans closer so his nose is nearly touching Oikawa’s ear. The breath send a slight shiver down Oikawa’s spine even as his ears heat up at the proximity. Unfortunately the intimacy is ruined when Iwaizumi says, “Incest. Gross.”“So Iwaigoomo, was it,” says his mother from behind her menu.
“Iwaizumi,” corrects Oikawa and he seriously considers ordering a short of whiskey, but it doesn’t seem like the place.
“Are you married,” asks his mother and she’s still not looking at either of them as she turns the menu page, but she must feel the tension the question brings. Oikawa suddenly very rigid because it’s a question she’s asking Iwaizumi that might involve a surprise answer she’s not expecting, but it’s also a question she’s directing at him. Oikawa refuses to look at Iwaizumi to give him any sign on how to answer.
“Yes,” replies Iwaizumi just as nonchalant. Then he hisses because Oikawa’s foot kicked at him before Oikawa could really even contemplate the message he was trying to send. Maybe, don’t do anything idiotic?
“See, Tooru, everyone your age is married!”Oikawa’s going to strangle him when they get out of this threesome.
“Is that French?”
“Of course it is,” gripes Matsukawa. “No other language would put an o, u, and x next to each other. It’s offensive. I’ve been fighting with it all night.”“Oh I know. This is my third try. I found a video called foolproof choux.” He places a tray on the counter and Iwaizumi can’t help but gaze upon the black and brown train wreck. All misshapen. Not a single circle to be found. “I regret to inform you that I am a fool and this recipe was not proof. Still, this one made it out of the oven which is a win.”
Iwaizumi did not listen (or he listened but hadn’t taken action accordingly).
