Will picked his head back up, looking straight at Mike. His eyes were still teary, about to spill over the edge. “Mike, I… It was never a crush," he admitted. “I… I loved you, too. I was in love with you. And I still love you– sorry, I’m still in love with you. I was never over it, and I think I just pretended to be because I didn’t know how you’d react to that and I didn’t want to say it in front of everyone, but… god, yeah. Yeah, I still want you,” Will let the tears fall freely now, a sad smile playing on his lips. “I’ll never stop wanting you.”
Mike was suddenly filled with the warmth of a hundred suns. He was sitting in the cold, dingy, blue-toned dampness of the Upside Down Squawk, but he had never felt so warm and at home ever in his life. Because for him, it was Will. Will was the warmth, Will was his sun, Will was the hazy yellow-orange rays of sunlight that infiltrated every crack in his being.
It was, and had always been, Will.

I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately. I miss you. So much, actually. Hawkins just isn’t the same without you. I always expected to be sad when you left, but never this much. I can’t seem to get you out of my mind, it’s like everywhere I look in this town are constant reminders of you and that you’re not here anymore. Regulus hoped James couldn’t feel the heat radiating off his face. “Yes. And you don’t have to call me Regulus anymore.”
“So I can call you Reg?” James' face lit up.
“If you must,” Regulus grumbled and James laughed.
“Alright, Reggie,” James grinned and moved his arm so that it was wrapped completely around Regulus’ shoulders. He could no longer focus on the lake in front of them, or the fact that he was supposed to be home by now and Barty would surely ask him where he had been. Right now, the only two people in the world were James and Regulus, on that little bench by the lake, watching the city lights reflect on the water.

He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.
