This isn’t a story, not really. It’s a dual, alternating monologue as an exploration of grief. Of being overwhelmed and finding slivers of solace in an otherwise unknowable world. Of finding comfort in something in the moment, and not knowing how long the moment will last. A reminder to take those moments, however long they last. Hold on to them for their duration with both hands. Grief and change are things we all experience in different ways, at different times. Sometimes it’s overwhelming, sometimes you don’t notice it until it's too late, and it hits you one unsuspecting lunchtime and turns your world upside down. Sometimes it completely passes you by. Nobody’s one experience is any less just because it’s different.
