“A ring,” Celebrimbor suddenly suggested, his voice perking up, and he gasped aloud. “Jewelry is the smallest thing we can create, so we should make a ring! Perhaps it would be easier to channel it that way—” He scrunched his face up in disbelief, huffing at himself. “Why have I never thought of it like that before? It is said magic flows through the hands . . . ”
“ . . . From the heart,” Annatar finished for him, a breathless whisper of awe at Celebrimbor’s flawless suggestion. It was perfect. He glanced over at the other man, grinning. “You are brilliant.”
Celebrimbor’s eyes flashed bright with excitement as he grinned back. He held up his left hand, creating a balled up fist with it, his knuckles white. “The left is stronger than the right,” he said.
“ . . . Because the heart is on the left,” Annatar finished for Celebrimbor once more, slowly drawing a deep breath into his lungs as he tipped his head back. He could feel his own eyes glowing, widening with anticipation from within himself. “I think we have it, Celebrimbor. I think we have it.”

Together, Annatar and Celebrimbor create the rings of power. Apart, they fight for control of Eregion.
