    Johnny sacrifices himself for his friends and for the greater good of earthrealm. But Shang Tsung had more intentions than just leaving the man to bleed out in the woods.

    Everything hurt. And stung with a vigor, his body felt tantalizingly cold but on fire at the same time.
    He felt like he was drowning in a dark void of substance. Not as slippery as water, not as strong or rough as sludge. It was thin and think all at once as he wanted to thrash and scream. He wanted to fight as this thing carved into him, hollowing him out through his guts. Seeping into him and his soul. The pain that was numbed finally slowly returned in force, as he was finally able to open his eyes. He saw a grey stone ground beneath him as he wretched his head up catching a glimpse of a shrouded sky and a city of gothic buildings starlit by light embedded into them from their windows.
    Where was he now?

     

    Johnny gets tossed into the Lazarus Pit by Shang Tsung after deceiving him like the great actor he is, as he wakes up in Gotham and met with a slew of new fighters. Can he survive the city and get back to his friends? Or did they even know he was here?

    Obi-Wan had been joking when he’d theorized that their resupply ship might be carrying his new Padawan. To find that it’s transporting not supplies, but two younglings sent by Master Yoda, is a sharp reminder of how much the green troll likes to meddle. There’s no way that he’ll reject his newly-assigned Padawan, though, even if a battlefield is the last place that a ten-year-old with psychometry should be.

    Cody wasn’t expecting to suddenly be partially responsible for looking after a Padawan-Commander, but he doesn’t exactly mind, per se. In fact, most of the 212th is excited, and soon, Cody’s just as determined to bond with the little Commander—but for some unknown reason, the Padawan keeps flinching away.

    Cal doesn’t know how he ended up back in the Clone Wars. Last he’d checked, time travel isn’t possible, but then, what would he know? He’d only been a Padawan for eight months before Order 66 had gone out. Now, he’s just trying to survive being the General Kenobi’s Padawan, get a handle on his psychometry again, and convince his instincts that the 212th isn’t about to shoot him. Oh, and he should probably do something to change the future, right?

    And- Cal knows ships. He knows them as well as the backs of his hands, knows how they move and how they don’t and what holds them together, because he spent five years pulling them apart and wrapping himself in that lie and the tenuous safety it offered him, and so when he commands the fighter’s engines to break - he knows, deep in his bones, even before the sparks begin to fly, that there will be no repairing what he has just torn apart. There will be no escape for Bode Akuna, at least not on that ship.

    “Bode!” he shouts, igniting his saber blades with the quick press of a button as the stormtroopers cluster closer around him, their blasters aimed and ready, a call for surrender he barely hears. “Stop running!”

    When the unlucky Thirteenth Brother is left for dead by a fellow Inquisitor, he’s rescued by Bode Akuna, an ISB Special Agent. Cal Kestis feels indebted to the man that saved his life.

    For years now, all Cal has known has been how to be a good attack dog for the Inquisitorius, a hunting hound as lethal as it is loyal.

    He can’t quite remember how to be a person. Not yet, not fully. So, in the meantime, he’s retrained to be a good pet, just for Bode.
