Summary
Heroes. Elite benders trained to protect the public and keep the peace. And as the pinnacle of all benders, the Avatar is by necessity the pinnacle of all heroes, too.
At least, that's how it used to be.
Following the death of All Might, the Hero Public Safety Commission tries to keep a semblance of the peace he instilled. As the years pass with no signs of the new Avatar, however, public faith in heroes begins to decline as a whole. The world begins to become more dangerous, with Japan being the worst of it, and only a thinly veiled guise of peace remains, waiting to be ripped apart. Yet just when it seems the Avatar will never return, a young man by the name of Izuku Midoriya discovers his true identity as the next Avatar, and sets out on his journey to become the new symbol the world needs.
And although his earthbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone...
