So, the fortune-teller cursed him.
There was something in that dust, and either Kaveh’s passed out on the ground somewhere having the wildest fever dream, or it’s poison and he’s dead. This being a personal hell might be the better option because at least that way Kaveh can wave off Alhaitham’s sordid thoughts that he cannot fucking ignore.
After their coffee, Kaveh accidentally left that robe on the back of the kitchen chair. When he went to get it, he found that Alhaitham had already stolen it back, and though he couldn’t see the man, he certainly heard his thoughts scraping over his mind: He smells good. He always smells so good.
Kaveh gets cursed, resulting in hearing Alhaitham's thoughts--specifically about him. And oh, there's a lot to be heard.

Summary
Kaveh never celebrated his birthdays ever since his mother left for Fontaine. As the days pass nearer to his birthday, a mysterious letter from Fontaine gets delivered to the Scribe’s office; the letter addressed to the wrong destination. Unfortunately opened by error or by intention, Alhaitham realizes that the letter was from Faranak, Kaveh’s mother. Kaveh eventually learns of the letter, and he falls into a dilemma whether he should go to Fontaine, and if he does, would Alhaitham accompany him?
A story of Kaveh discovering himself, ambition, love and Alhaitham.

It’s been two months since the storm, and Childe hasn’t seen Zhongli not even once, not since that fateful meeting with the Signora where the truth is finally unveiled.
And what a fun little kick to the gut that is, the realization that not only had he been played by all sides, but he's also being tossed aside like trash now that his use had run its course.
It’s not that Childe doesn’t get it. He’s a Harbinger. He knows first-hand what it means to do his duty, to put the mission first and his personal feelings far, far away, preferably locked up in a box, where it wouldn’t interfere with his job. He knows what it’s like working with vipers, to scheme and plot and lie in wait for the opportune moment to stab his opponent in the back.
But this time, this time Childe can’t help but feel a little (a lot) gutted.
Stupid. He’s gotten himself stupidly attached.
