(In which Mephiles ends up in Shadow's afterlife with Maria. Hijinks ensue, a princess is in another castle, and there are lesbians. Mephiles may or may not wish he had actually just died).
NOTE: This is the fic I'll write for when I'm bored or otherwise uninspired, don't expect it to be articulated well. It's gonna be weird and absurdist on purpose, and I have no intentions of proofreading anything. Enjoy the chaos!
*You don't actually need to read Follow You to understand this, it's not even fully uploaded at the time I'm posting this spin-off. Come for the goofiness, stay for the lore.

Summary
February 7th is the worst day of the year for Shadow the Hedgehog. It is, of course, the day he lost everything. It's been ten years since he fell to Mobius, and each year on this day he gets absolutely wasted in an attempt to dull the pain of grief, though it never seems to work the way he wants it to. This year he runs into Sonic after moving back to town after a mission, and the two catch up a bit while getting absolutely wasted. After that... they get a little friendly. A little too friendly. When Shadow wakes up the next morning, he's in Sonic's bed. Next to Sonic.
(Formerly titled “Exist for Love”. I felt that “The Words” was more fitting.)
