"What the hell is your problem?" Bucky snaps, stepping forward so that he's standing next to Steve. "Steve's a dominant, same as you. So back off."Bucky Barnes doesn't like Tony Stark, not after what Stark had said to Steve during Project: Rebirth. So he's not exactly pleased when he's assigned to Stark's humvee during a standard SI weapons demonstration in Afghanistan. However, when the Ten Rings captures them and orders Stark to design a deadly biological weapon, Bucky begins to realize that Stark is hiding secrets he never would have expected.

tony stark is rich and popular and an arrogant asshole. in other words: his iq rivals einstein's, he's slept with most of his "friends" at least once, and he's so fucking lonely that sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night and cries into the cold sheets on the empty side of the bed.
it's no different at SHIELD boarding school, at first. half the student body hates him, half want to be him, nothing new. that is, until tony accidentally breaks james barnes's prosthetic arm, and he suddenly finds the most vulnerable pieces of himself surfacing whether he wants them to or not.

It's a protocol that prioritizes his teammates over himself, a verbal command for FRIDAY to operate the suit in the event that he is unable. It's a protocol that will finish the battle even if he's bleeding out or already dead.

They go to Peter’s quote-unquote apartment. Ned’s brain is running on overdrive trying to put together all of the pieces. More and more keeps coming back, like that time he saved Peter from one of Toomes’ men in the school parking lot (which was so cool) and that time they stayed up until four A.M. building an AT-AT Lego kit even though they had a Spanish quiz the next morning, and the day they met—the first day of freshman year, second period History class, when they’d happened to sit next to each other and notice that they both had the same Lembas bread leaf-style pencil pouch. Peter had made a joke about how he always chewed on his erasers; one small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man! he’d said, and Ned had laughed, and that had been that.

Tony paused mid-sentence, eyes darting to the crowd. Everyone's heads were turning left and right with confusion, wondering who the hell would boo Iron Man. He continued, "To international concerns over unsanctioned actions and consequences by—"
"This guy sucks!"
"—enhanced individuals and members of the Avengers to create a system of accounta—"
"Show us your tits!"
"Okay, who the hell—" Tony gave up and lifted a hand above his eyes, blocking the light to see the crowd better. His eyes scanned each person's face, trying to locate the shit that kept interrupting his speech, and followed everyone's gazes to the ceiling. He froze as his eyes fell on a red and blue clad vigilante sitting in the beams.
Spider-Man looped his legs around the beam he was on and swung to hang upside down. Cupping his gloved hands around his mouth, he shouted, "Tell a joke!"

OR: The Accords dehumanize and discriminate against enhanced individuals. Spider-Man isn’t very happy about this. (Spider-Man happens to also be a foster kid who is in dire need of a mentor.)
