Summary
Jing Yuan receives a fatal blow, but instead of passing on peacefully to the afterlife, he regains consciousness to find himself transported into the past, before the Quintet had formed.
This second chance he resolves to live without regrets, to prevent the tragedies to come, and to pursue his first loves.
Aka I had Feels about Jing Yuan being…kind of left behind in the past after 1.2. Wrote this to comfort myself.
Note: This is our present day in-game aged Jing Yuan transported into the past. I conveniently made no existing Jing Yuan present in that “alternate universe”.

He is but a man. Who had weathered through heartbreaks and tragedy and death. He is not invulnerable. He is stronger than most, he is after all, the only one who was left. But even the cliffside must yield to the sea. And Jing Yuan had finally yielded to time.

The Fire Lord needs a new hairdresser, a grueling process of vetting and testing and background checking. Sokka might know just the person, though--if only he can find her in the city. And if only he can figure out how to make sure Zuko likes her without revealing the whole, you know. Fire Lord thing.
