After going on assignment for the FBI in an attempt to confront her own trauma, senior analyst Grace winds up in the clutches of Victor Gideon — but ends up finding herself within ARK's jail cell and beside DSO agent Leon Kennedy, who has been abducted for high ransom, and to ensure her cooperation.
When both of them remain at the whims of Gideon and his team in the hopes of unlocking Elpis, the two of them must team up to face whatever comes their way: the undead, the living, and the consequences of what happens when both their heat cycles kick into gear.

Grace Ashcroft wondered what Gods or God she pissed off to end up in an alternate universe in Romania as the inner sanctum of ARK was crashing down. The last thing she remembers is a cured Leon shouting for her to hold onto something before she was falling. And then—snapping sounds, burning pain, a thud and flashes of her interrupting a church meeting?
When Grace was lurking on Reddit about the Baker House Incident and the Village Incident, this was NOT what she meant when she wanted to learn more about the weird moldy monster.
Now she’s stuck in the middle of nowhere Romania amongst a monstrous cult face to face with an alternate life path, an alternate monstrous version of herself, and an alternate sadistic mad scientist eldritch horror of a mother who either wants to forcibly adopt her or dissect her. . .
Oh, shit?!
How does her alternate self already have a girlfriend??!??!

Summary
Grace never imagined that, in her more than two decades on Earth, she’ll be gazing at the Moon at its peak and the Sun ascending at the same time. Let alone, doing this with the man on the other side of the screen. Clichéd as it may seem, it’s like the Stars aligned for them to be in this exact moment. For her, all of this feels strangely...intimate. Perhaps, a little bit too intimate for a (possibly) married man. She holds her tongue about bringing this up.
Three months after the events of RE: Requiem, Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy try to settle back into their normal lives. During one particular night, while Leon is on a mission overseas, they uncover certain feelings within themselves that are way too close for comfort.

Summary
Oswell E. Spencer takes one last chance to fulfill his goals. This time, he decides to go back to Miranda's teachings from all those years ago and in doing so he finds Grace. And Grace, because Miranda would never lead him astray, is exactly what he needs: the undeniable proof of the evolution of humankind.
Or: "My father is the worst man alive, and I am his favorite daughter" trope, Resident Evil style, which means Grace's suffering never ends :)

I always love stories that explore/touch on Grace's relation with Spencer. So far with what RE9 (outside of possible DLCs) has shown, Spencer's apparent affection for Grace as his adopted daughter is quite underexplored in the game. It would've been cool to see more of Spencer and his influences on Grace's character and how that would have contrasted with Alyssa's influence.
This fic is such a gem and explores so much of the potential RE9's plot could have explored with regard to Elpis' creation and Spencer's motives. Many kudos to the author. I always look forward to an update from this story.
