Summary
Hongjoong is trying to hold a family together.
Seonghwa is trying not to fall apart.After a tragic accident, Hongjoong takes custody of his 6 year old niece. Her 1st grade teacher, Seonghwa, steps in to help like he has been waiting for this his entire life. He offers to teach Hongjoong the basics of childcare and help him connect with his niece in exchange for getting to play house. At some point, the late night babysitting, reheating of homemade leftovers, and accidental fondness starts to feel like home.
Which is exactly what terrifies Seonghwa the most.
They both come time to find that you can’t build a house on a broken foundation.

It's quiet, incredibly quiet. Not even Wooyoung dares break it — it's like the silence is their only tether to sanity, to containing the hysterics that Yunho knows aren't just building up inside him alone. Because none of what's happening is normal — it shouldn't be real. This shouldn't be happening.
Then, there's a scuffle to his left. Yunho's head whips towards the doorway just as someone yelps, and from the front, San calls out, "Jongho? Is that y—"
And their tentative peace crumbles like sand as Seonghwa lets out a shout that pierces far, far deeper than any of the screams did before.
"RUN!"
The lights going out isn't anything new - but when the screams start, Yunho realises this isn't a normal detention. Something is seriously wrong.

“Gods, sometimes Hongjoong I just wish I had never met you!”
The tears in Seonghwa’s eyes and the way his voice didn’t even shake at the words he was throwing nearly undid Hongjoong. He tried to pretend it didn’t hurt, huffing and shaking his head so that his husband wouldn’t see his own eyes brimming with tears.
or: Hongjoong has it all: a beautiful husband, adorable children, a cute dog, a clean house and a good job. But he has been taking all of it for granted... So what happens when he wakes up in another reality? One where Seonghwa isn't his husband anymore?
