After more than two decades away from Earth, Ryland Grace finally returns. Though apparently he's not the only one to have saved the world anymore, because a group of people who call themselves the "Avengers" (the League of Big Babies, in Ryland's opinion) have managed to do it at least FOUR times since he left Earth.
Which is, well.
Unfair.
Also, he is now living with said Avengers in their giant building owned by his ex-boyfriend from college who is a member of these Avengers and flies around in a bright red-and-gold suit to zap aliens on Broadway the third Thursday of every month.
At least he's still got Rocky to talk to. Well, write to. Dammit, why don't Eridians have Skype?

Summary
Ryland Grace gets saved by Spiderman after almost getting mugged. Even though it's probably the highlight of his entire year, there's something that nags him about the encounter, and he can't quite put his finger on it.
Meanwhile, Peter Parker nearly had a heart attack when he saw his eighth grade science teacher at the wrong end of a knife and didn't hesitate to step in and save him. However, he might've done it a bit hastily, because his voice modifier wasn't on. But Superman could do it, right? Those poor suckers in the comics had no idea that Clark Kent was Superman and that guy didn't even wear a mask for crying out loud.
Okay, no, he's doomed. Mr. Stark is going to be so, so mad at him.

or, peter parker accidentally uncovers the past relationship (situationship??) that his eighth grade science teacher ryland grace and his new superhero mentor tony stark had back in their college days, in the sense that he now has two father figures who want nothing to do with each other. unbelievably awkward for a sixteen year old to mediate... but he kind of has to... rats...
