“You can call me Mando.” He put his blaster away, raising his hands in amused surrender. Luke stood back up, his face hotter than usual. “I was… attacked by some Massiff’s. I was tired, it’s really hot here.” He explained slowly.
“You’re… not from around here. Are you?” Luke grinned absently, finally feeling smarter than Mando. Something told Luke that Mando was grinning back at him.
Or Din almost dies on Tatooine and Luke decides to help him.

Din wouldn't call his life very complicated. Work was steady - there was always a need for a lighting technician in Hollywood - and his kid was great; the best in the world, probably.
Once Luke Skywalker, an up-and-coming actor enters his life, it starts to get complicated.

The blond stuck the cigarette between his lips, and held his hand out in a silent gesture to borrow Din's lighter. Din wasn't sure why he did it, but instead he pushed the flame back up and leaned forward to light the man's cigarette himself. His bright blue eyes and long eyelashes made Din think that if the man was a girl, he'd be beautiful. It was probably what compelled him to do it.
The corner of the blond's mouth twitched, giving a half smile that looked like he tried to hide. He inhaled. He moved the cigarette back between his fingers.
“I'm Luke.”

Based on the S3 finale. I want to think that Din went back into the compound to find Paz at the end of the events of the season finale. I want to believe Paz lived, but ok, if he hasn't, Din would have still gone back for him.
