Adora revels in it. The indents. The claim Catra has marked on her.
“I don’t want her to take you from me,” Catra whispers. She squeezes Adora’s hand tighter, claws digging in. Not enough to break the skin, but enough to sting. Catra’s learned better by now, but a conscious pressure to hurt. It ticks Adora’s lip up.
“I won't let her” Adora looks over her shoulder at Catra, her blue eyes shining in the hazard lights lining the barrack floors. “Do you want me to kill her for you?” she asks. Catra’s eyes widen comically, it nearly sends Adora laughing.
Catra does start laughing, “you're funny Adora. Even if your jokes are a little weird”
Adora wasn't joking.
