“I think it's kinda sweet,” she says, folding the letter back in the envelope. Glimmer looks at her like she’s eaten a frog.
“'I would kill everyone here and then myself for you'” Glimmer slowly closes her locker, “you think that's sweet?”

Adora scoffs and tries to cool down the redness of her face and slow the racing of her thoughts when Catra picks up another book. “What talents?”
“Well, I’ll have you know I’m very good with my fingers,” Catra winks at her and flips through the next book quicker than Adora could follow. “And, you're one to talk, the only thing you were ever good at was catching basketballs with that giant forehead of yours.”
Adora grinds her teeth, to keep from sprouting some insult or another, but it seems Catra wasn't done.
“And now your just a failed author”
“I am not!” Adora's sentence starts out higher and louder than she meant it to. She glances around the room, lowers her voice and tries again. “I am not failed author I’m just taking a break”

“I don’t want her to take you from me,” Catra whispers. She squeezes Adora’s hand tighter, claws digging in. Not enough to break the skin, but enough to sting. Catra’s learned better by now, but a conscious pressure to hurt. It ticks Adora’s lip up.
“I won't let her” Adora looks over her shoulder at Catra, her blue eyes shining in the hazard lights lining the barrack floors. “Do you want me to kill her for you?” she asks. Catra’s eyes widen comically, it nearly sends Adora laughing.
Catra does start laughing, “you're funny Adora. Even if your jokes are a little weird”

Catra freezes, her claws are out and ready to tear the thing attached to her torso to shreds. That little yell is the only thing stopping her. She knows that voice.
“Adora?” she asks before she can stop herself. She looks down at the monster trying to eat her and realizes two things. It’s not a monster, far from it, and it's not trying to eat her.
It’s crying. Sobbing really, uncontrollably. Shaking against Catra’s stomach.
This isn't happening. It isn't possible. This person attached to Catra had not existed for a decade. Maybe more. This person cannot possibly be here.
or, Catra is healing her attachment issues in the whispering woods and Adora get's jealous. And turned into a child.
