Bucky’s read all the posters about cholesterol and depression and Knowing Your Ticks To Avoid Lyme Disease at least five times each now, and he’s just about to lever himself off the table to grab his phone from the back pocket of his pants, currently folded on the guest chair near the desk, when the door opens. He sits back on the exam table, expecting to see Dr. Banner’s familiar stooped posture, salt-and-pepper curls, and wire rims.
But it isn’t Dr. Banner.
It’s only the hottest man Bucky has ever seen, bar none.

Summary
When he lifts his head again he gets the distinct feeling of someone looking at him. His eyes scan the crowd, until he’s stopped by Barnes’ steel blue eyes looking back at him. He jumps slightly, and waits for his eyes to flit away like most people do when they make eye contact with him.
They don’t though, and to his great surprise Barnes’ lips even curl into a small smile. It’s not mocking, or pitiful, or even very large. But it’s there, and it's kind, and Steve has no idea what to do with it.
OR: Bucky Barnes smiles at Steve Rogers, and Steve has no idea how to handle it.

“Am I your favorite?” Bucky asked, flicking his eyes over to the blonde from over his shoulder as he undressed himself. He was wearing nothing but a striped satin shirt, the fabric sliding off of his skin grudgingly slowly, revealing that painful yet beautiful scar that Steve loved putting to canvas.
“Yeah.” Steve admitted, carefully picking out the colored pencils he wanted to use to put Bucky’s soft skin and foggy gray eyes to paper. His cheeks were unashamedly tinted a rosy hue that went from cheek to cheek, and across the bridge of his nose at the question, and he smiled a warm, genuine smile.
