    Maki's completely mistaken. There’s nothing overly possessive in how Yuuta treats Toge. He's protective of all his friends, Maki included. If Toge receives a little special attention, well, it’s only natural. They’re third year students now—they pretty much only fight the highest level curses—which means Toge’s throat weathers a lot more backlash. If Yuuta’s always quick to heal him afterwards, it’s only because it hurts Yuuta to see him in pain.

    Yeah, that's all.

    “Oh, Inumaki-senpai, you’re still here!” Itadori greets loudly as he enters the room, immediately honing in on Toge and walking over to see what he’s doing. “What’re you up to?”

    Wordlessly, Toge holds up his phone and points at it. Itadori leans over his shoulder to squint at the screen.

    “Hey! You must be Okkotsu Yuuta! I’m Itadori Yuuji.”

     

    In which Itadori sits in on one of Yuuta and Toge's video calls, and Yuuta gets the wrong idea.
