Summary
Song Lan was thirty-two years old when he realized that it was very likely that he was going to be killed by a plant. A plant so full of resentful energy that it had turned into a monster, and quite a fearsome one at that, but a plant nonetheless.

“Look at how well you’re taking me,” Song Lan says as he leans over Xue Yang’s back. “You’re getting off on this, aren’t you?”
“Fuck, yeah.” And he is. Who knew he had an exhibitionist streak? Okay, yeah he did, but this is a bit ballsy, even for him.
And then Song Lan goes harder, faster, enough that Xue Yang actually has to change position so that he can lean his upper body on the rail because otherwise his legs refuse to hold him up—and that’s when he sees him.
He’s gorgeous. Insanely gorgeous. Like he doesn’t look real. He looks like a supermodel only that doesn’t really fit either. He seems tall, maybe Song Lan’s height, but lithe. Willowy. And even from across the courtyard, where he’s standing on his own balcony, the stem of his wine glass dangling in his hand, Xue Yang can see his dimples as his wet dream of a mouth curves into a devious smile.
He knows exactly what Song Lan and Xue Yang are doing. And is apparently content to have the happy hour show because he just stands there and sips his wine, not breaking eye contact with Xue Yang the entire time. -
