Summary
Post-Winter High. Over winter break, meeting up in Tokyo for a street ball game seems at least…marginally normal. The problem? Half a dozen friendships broken in half a dozen different ways equals a whole lot of jumbled emotions, especially regarding one Akashi Seijuurou. Kagami Taiga, as per usual, remains unfazed.
In which Akashi finds himself as the moth to a flame for a change…and it's surprisingly not so bad. One-offs can turn into some pretty intense things, who knew?

Summary
After a sudden and overwhelming loss, Harry tries to move on with his life and looks forward only to whatever lies ahead of him next—little realizing yet that in his case, “forward” may be just another way of saying back to the place where he came from. He and his companions become hopelessly stranded in a bizarre and unfamiliar land…one which apparently seems to be all too familiar with him.
Wheels are set in motion that force Harry to reconcile with a past he never knew about, an inheritance of magic and other gifts more precious still which place him squarely within the sights of a powerful godlike being he is in no way ready to face on his own…and the only one here who claims to be on Harry’s side is a man who will never allow him to break free of this hell either without first paying a devastatingly high toll.

“Sorry, Yoshiki,” Hikaru groans as tears come out of one eye and more of him comes out of the other. “Ughh, I don’t – ”
Yoshiki can see how hard he’s trying to calm himself down, but it just isn’t working.
“It’s ok,” Yoshiki says, quiet. “It’s ok. Instead of shovin’ it back inside completely, can you try just...lettin’ it out? Just a little bit?”
He has no clue how any of this works, but maybe a half-measure is better than trying to force it all at once.
“Okay,” Hikaru says, but it sounds like a sob. More of the unknowable, incomprehensible swirl leaks out into the dark room.
“Yoshiki – shit – ‘m sorry but can I…” Hikaru’s face – what’s visible behind the bloom of him – twists in a small kind of agony. “Can I touch you? Not much. Just – ”
It's been years since Hikaru first took the body of Yoshiki's dead best friend. Despite everything - every horror and hurt - they managed to find a home in each other. Not quite friends or family. More and not. What they have is complicated, but precious.
But when Yoshiki escapes their small town – to college, to Tokyo – Hikaru follows. And things start to change for them both.

robby lends whitaker his jacket during a particularly hard shift in the ER. when he gets it back the next day, he finds whitaker's notepad still tucked in the pocket, filled with absent-minded doodles and half-finished to-do lists.
instead of returning it right away, robby adds a small note of his own.
