Prompt #75: The Fates have given Salazar Slytherin the opportunity for a second chance with some major strings, including making one Hermione Granger happy. Hermione is more interested in her work than dating.
Additional comments: After Riddle is killed, SS is given the opportunity to return in order to clear his name and make up for the injustices done to one Muggle-born witch by his descendant. Outside the Malfoy Manor gates, the grass is green.
Inside the fence—
“Go home,” says Harry gravely.
“Go to hell,” Hermione replies.
And because that is that, they plod up the drive and strain open the door to a landscape of ominous white.
