Summary
"Oh, Rus', hold on," Porter suddenly says, cutting himself off as he sits up from where he was leaning on Rusty's shoulder, "you- you got somethin' on your face, just a wee thing, hang on-"
As Rusty freezes, he reaches over with slow, tentative fingers, plucking something off of Rusty's bottom lip, and Rusty is convinced for a section that his lips will forever be branded with Porter's touch. A single yellow petal, almost comically bright in the darkness as it glimmers like gold on Porter's coal stained fingertip as he marvels at it like a diamond.
"Must've got caught in the breeze," he chuckles, holding it up and blowing it into the wind as Rusty feels his fuel lines get replaced with cold, heavy ice, "careful, Star boy, world's tryin' to decorate you."~~~~~~
In which Rusty develops flowers in his pipes, and Porter can never, ever know.
