Summary
It's not the comforts of home that have Fadel staring at the shadowed ceiling long after Style's quiet snores have filled the room. It's the guilt.
It's a lead weight in his chest that pins him to the mattress, too heavy to push away and too overwhelming to let sleep come. He doesn't feel guilty for the lives he's taken, not anymore. The blood on his hands belongs to terrible men, regardless of Lilly's methods, and he's made his peace with the things he was forced to do. No, this sin is far more personal. Fadel is suffocated by the things he's done to the people he loves, by the suffering they've endured just by having him in their lives.
In which Fadel is hounded by grief and guilt after being released from prison, and Style is a good boyfriend who will lead him out of his head.

Summary
At first, the dreams are little more than a blip in his sleep, flashes that have a familiar unease that settles over his chest until he slips back into slumber. Easy to forget.
Until they aren't.
The nights pass and the images sharpen; the gun is pointed at Fadel, the bars become a cage and the blood spills too red, too fast. Helpless in the cage, Style is forced to watch as his lover is taken from him, night after night. Sometimes it's death; at Lilly's hands, or Christ's. Sometimes it's a sacrifice: Fadel's life for his. Sometimes he's taken back into custody, or Style's Pa sends him away. And sometimes, it's Fadel himself, tired of Style and walking away. The result is always the same: Style is left alone.
In which Style hasn't dealt with the past as well as he'd thought, Fadel knows that something is wrong, and everything takes its toll.

It’s a stupid question; neither of them are okay, but Style nods anyway, pecking one last kiss to Fadel’s lips before shimmying down his body, mouth once again level with the other man’s nipples.
“Style.” He knows Fadel wants to hear him say it, but he can’t lie to him. Not about that. So he flashes a weak grin up at him.

In which the hours before Fadel's prison sentence dwindle, Fadel wants to try something new, and Style will do anything to make sure his boyfriend has a good experience.
