Summary
Castiel Novak is 27 when he suddenly loses his twin brother Jimmy, and his whole world turns to ashes. How do you deal with losing half of yourself when your whole life always revolved around the two of you, like yin and yang and black and white? How do you deal with a broken soul and old demons looming over you with no one to hold you back anymore?
After 10 years as a Navy Special Warfare Operator and more than a dozen deployments in both Afghanistan and Iraq, a battlefield injury forces 28-year-old Chief Petty Officer Dean Winchester to choose between being stuck behind a desk for the rest of his career or going back to civil life. When he learns about his friend Jimmy’s death, Dean makes his way back to Kansas with his heart in his throat and broken pieces at his feet.
Things are already complicated and painful enough as it is, but when former lovers Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak meet again after 10 years of radio silence and a galaxy of wounds and scars solidly standing between them, it feels like both a curse and a blessing has been placed on them both. Summary
Hiya!
This is an au series that revolves around the trope that Buck and Eddie are already married when the show starts but Eddie is deployed. Of course, it includes Navy SEAL Buck because we all need more Navy SEAL Buck in our lives and the writers are robbing us of that. (tbh I think they wrote it in for that one line in 1x02 and completely forgot about it)
So I already have vague plot ideas for 6 other works in the series (this is subject to change) including but not limited to a multi-chapter work for Bucks time in the Navy SEALS and a multi-chapter work about Buck and Eddie's relationship. If you have any idea's you want to see in this series such as during Bucks time with the Navy SEALs or Buck and Eddie's relationship or one-shot ideas / prompts either leave a comment on one of the fics, then I will see what I can do about working them in.

Summary
When Cas OD's, Jimmy decides that the only solution for his twin brother to quit using is that his family stays even closer together. But his plan is suddenly put in jeopardy when a guilt-stricken Dean decides to leave Lawrence to enlist in the US Navy, intending to become a Navy SEAL.
This time, though, Castiel follows him all the way to California once Dean is done with boot camp in Illinois, and then to Virginia where Petty Officer Winchester has to go through Green Team to earn his trident. When Dean is drafted to join Bravo Team, one of the most elite platoons of SEAL Team 6, neither he nor Cas knows what lies ahead.
Will they make it through deployments, loss, navigating injuries and PTSD? Can Castiel hold on to his shaky sobriety through it all? Or will the little white lies they keep from each other somehow make the life they’re building collapse around them?
TL;DR: what would’ve happened if the main plot that changed everything in Patient Love didn’t happen, and what would it mean for Dean and Cas and those they love?
