"I'm sorry I'm not very good with this type of thing," his voice is soft, almost a little hesitant as he sits in the chair he pulled up beside the bed you're laying on, your face down in his pillow. The only light in the room is the lamp atop the nightstand on his side of the bed.
"It's okay," your voice is muffled, followed by a sigh. Reaching out slowly, he strokes your back gently, then your unbrushed hair.
