It’s 1550, in the Ottoman Empire, under the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. John The Baptist (Yohanan) lives in Cilicia with his wife, Hadassah, navigating life as an Israelite expat in the Islamic empire.
Lady Hadassah is a beautiful, bashful Israelite descent of Canaanite heritage, and the faithful companion he’d always needed ever since Jesus (Yashua) descended to Ethiopia to flee persecution, leaving him alone. They met on the road to Ankara at a stop in Syria, but fell in love with the vibrant Israelite community in Cilicia and decided to stay there and build a life.
A series of one-shots, short stories, and slice-of-life scenes (with continuity) from my OTP featuring John The Baptist and an original female character. Why? Because I love John.
