Summary
Buggy turns the Davy Back Fight into a spectacle and builds a life out of it. He has money, fame, his flashy daughter Nami, and he is determined to never become the kind of father he grew up with.
Everything is perfectly under control… until Nami gets into a fight with Luffy at school.

A second of silence passes as Newgate and Makino stare at each other. Newgate knew she was doing her job, caring for Luffy, and making sure that he was safe. But he couldn't help but feel a little offended. He would be a fool to risk his Family.
"Say what you must, but I assure you I love my family rather than being a fool who would endanger them.” He smiles. “Luffy is safe and welcome here.”
For now, that’s enough for Makino to hear.
or Luffy's parents die and Garp is given custody. After Garp gets arrested for abuse, Luffy gets bounced around in the foster system. Eventually he makes it to Newgates.

Summary
"Let's annoy my brother!" Shanks exclaimed. "Not Blue, although he is fun to rile up. Shamrock!"
"What?" Law turned toward his mate with confusion, the smirk on Shanks' face completely in sync with the madcap idea he had just come up with.
"Annoy Shamrock!" The Emperor chirped. "And I bet you'll want to join in this game."
Law very much doubted it. Shanks had come up with different ideas to get him out of the fugue he had fallen under after his defeat at Blackbeard's hands, but the truth was Law felt adrift. He had been defeated. Had it not been for Shanks, his crew might have been imprisoned or worse. It didn't matter his crew was safe. Didn't matter they had managed to build a new submarine for themselves.
The Tang was still rotting at the bottom of the Sea, all of the memories they had made on her lost forever.
Shanks has two problems: his mate is sad and his brother is cute. He decides to solve both problems with a single plan. No one is quite expecting to catch actual feelings.

Summary
The son of the Pirate King and a double dosed D. The potential of such an individual was almost unlimited. Shamrock tapped the desk with his pen, ignoring the purr he could feel at the back of his mind, his dragon content and covetous.
Would this be it? The first gem of his hoard that would finally make the feeling go away? Firefist would have no choice but to comply, of course, and Shamrock would make sure he wanted for nothing. He would not be the first dragon to have humans for his hoard after all.
He knew he needed to be smart about how he approached this matter. He would have to do this the right way - the old fashioned way.
Shamrock's dragon is not appeased by gems or coins, by knowledge of old or the vastness of the hoard the Figarland family had amassed. No matter how much he forces himself, he cannot be content with the cavern his ancestors had created. It's a good thing Firefist Ace's execution is plastered on all newspapers - it allows him to realize that perhaps he needs something else.
No one quite expected pirates to be that specific something else.
Somewhere in the New World Shanks is very confused what his brother is doing. -

Shanks and Marco are the ones that survive the last stand against the Marines and Teach. Luffy, Nika, sends them back so there is a chance for a second chance. After sharing what he left, Marco goes to look for Shanks and the both of them set course to Dawn and get there just in time to deal with Bluejam/Outlook. MarShanks adopting (kidnapping) the ASL bros and raising them. Making sure that they survive and come out as the monsters they were meant to be. Includes Ace getting all the hugs, Sabo learning how to be a gremlin from Shanks and Buggy. Lastly, Luffy conquering hearts and making allies to keep for when he sets out (no one knows how a rookie knows half the shichibukai or Yonko crews) Sengoku is pulling out his hair when he figures it out and doesn't know how to handle this (no matter what the elders tell him he doesn't want Newgate, Shanks, Mihawk, Katakuri and several others on his ass thanks).

"I'll be back," Shanks called over his shoulder, already walking.
Or; Law's been shovel-talked by half so many people from Sabo, to Boa Hancock, to Garp, to whoever else since word got out he's dating Luffy. He's braced for one more. What he gets instead is Red-Haired Shanks asking if he's slept, thanking him for the surgery that kept him alive, and then leaving to go scold Luffy on his behalf…? What.
