This quote from the 1989 Batman movie with Jack Nickleson as the Joker was something that always stood out to me.
Evangeline 'Buck' Ellison-Sandburg, formerly Evangeline Buckley, was ten when her life changed for the worse and for the better. Born with a soul mark, a mark that shows the status of one's soul upon the skin, she was seen as a freak to her parents. When she failed at her born task she became Girl as soon as her older sister was out of the house.
