Summary
Canterlot is a strange town. It always has been.
Time has thrice been Twirled. The magical Time Twirler now lies irreparably in ruins. In its final loop twirling, a bunch of memories went back in time. But not lived experience, which is a little unfortunate for the world, and a lot fortunate for the characters involved. This is because of the alien invasions.
Luckily, Canterlot is a strange town.
When everybody's hair and skin color changed all at once in 1976, the world changed. Canterlot adapted a lot faster than the rest of Earth, though. Strange things have always happened here, even before the town's founding. Never shared with, nor taken seriously by the outside world.
This is a world already scarred by repelling an alien invasion in the early 1960s, and the public disclosure of that war in 1976. Many borders peacefully changed over time.
The year is 2015. The enemy is unknown and within. Elsewhere, terror thaws from cyrosleep, and begins its rise from the deep. Let's go globetrotting.
