While stuck on Earth, Megatron introduces Shockwave to the new member of the Decepticons. A transformer made on Earth whose entire existence and strange speech pattern catches his attention. Unfortunately, Shockwave is far too emotionally detached from society to realize why the word colleague no longer fits the relationship between them. Soundwave, a mech whose main occupation is to record and store information on everything and anything, wants nothing more than to keep records and files on the estranged scientists who speak highly of experiments that could make anyone purge their tanks. The problem? His only experience of socializing and of acceptable societal norms is through Earth media like television dramas and reality TV.
Meanwhile, Megatron’s grief over an old friend stops him from revealing the truth of his son’s true identity. But keeping secrets seems to run in the family because, despite the numerous chats Soundwave and Shockwave have had, Soundwave failed to mention that his creation was not the same as the other new Decepticons. He had a creator. A creator that Shockwave will have him questioning whether a relationship would even be possible with the mech he sees as more than a colleague.

"A group of interstellar explorers inadvertently wind up stranded on an alien world, pursued by a group of bandits under the mistaken idea that they'll lead them to treasure and power. Optimus Primal does his best to keep his small team of Maximals safe as they survive a strange and sometimes hostile environment, as well as the Predacons who've found themselves marooned as well. Together they slowly uncover ancient remnants of a long extinct civilization, all while contending with each other and the world they've fallen into."
This is a retelling/re-imagining of Beast Wars, with the same general premise but with a new cast and new story. Many of the characters are based off those who never appeared in the show, or at least alternate versions of them, though with many of the hallmarks of the original story. It's also structured loosely in TV show format, with episodic chapters and three "seasons" planned. This is my attempt to reboot Beast Wars without just retelling the original cartoon, and tell a different story whilst still feeling familiar. :)
