Legolas paid a visit to Imladris, shortly before Lord Elrond went to the West. They talked about the meaning of going to the West, the fate of Eldar, the purpose of Arda, and something probably related to love. Restrained in the history doomed to be “a word or two, a few vague legends and confused traditions”, they tried to inquire the unforeseeable Ea to relieve the sorrow.
