Summary
Jake Stone has never asked for much, but always longed for a lot. Cassandra Cillian faces the looming threat of death, and struggles to find a reason to live at all in a world so soon to slip away. Ezekiel is sent to live with a new foster mother, Eve Baird, but he doesn't expect to be there long. He doesn't expect to finally stop running, and he certainly didn't expect to fall in love with two people at the same time.
And none of them expected to help each other find what they'd each been looking for their whole lives.

Dani Fenton has had her ghost powers for six months, and she still can't control them. Her friends Sam (the resident goth boy) and Tucker (the geeky computer girl of Casper High) are there to provide comfort, but in the end Dani's powers cause her to fall behind in school, as well as break her curfew. Jazz attributes this to the usual adolescent issues of uncertainty, and prompts Jack and Maddie to talk to Dani more. Thus, Jack decides the best way to relate to his youngest is to pack up the car and drive to Wisconsin for the college reunion his old pal is hosting. This is where Dani meets the eccentric billionaire Vlad Masters, who has plenty of secrets himself. Dani finds herself enamored with the older man, and he is quite taken with her as well. And this, of course, is only the beginning.

Will should've known better not to become too attached to this newfound lovely nest of theirs, but in his defense, with all of Hannibal's reassurances and his ever-growing affectionate canine pack, it was extremely easy to find himself becoming increasingly at peace with his current villainous hobbies and himself. Even Freddie Lounds, for once, was helping him out with his anxieties; after having announced Jack Crawford's recent (and long coming) retirement in an issue titled,
"The Murder Husbands: and other Softened and Dormant Killers" (which of course, made Hannibal a strange mixture of angry and sappy for the rest of the day.).
It seemed that they could finally breathe again for the first time, since they fell off that cliff. Which is why when Will heard that Hannibal needed him to go to the county jail to be questioned, over a staticy sounding phone, none-the-less, Will couldn't help but panic and drop his phone.
