“What the hell was that?” A voice called out from the bus before Izzy popped his head out. His face already scrunched up and ready to raise hell over it.
”Relax man. It’s just Ed’s extra wardrobe.” Jim marked the box as unloaded. “Not that he needs it.” Followed under their breath.
Ed watched as Izzy took a harsh breath followed by another.
“It’s not about what’s in the damn box, Jimenez. The crew is here to make sure things go properly. Not to be dicking around with our shit.”

Recently out of an abusive and controlling relationship, Ed is inspired to take back control of his own life when he sees how recovering alcoholic Stede is doing the same.
They didn't set out looking for love, in fact they'd both given up on ever finding it, but just like in every universe, once they enter each other's orbit they can't escape.
This is the story of two changed people taking back control and working out how to fit into each other's lives without letting their pasts get in the way. Love can't heal or fix things, but it could be the reason to try.

“Oh yes?” Stede sounds beyond delighted. His face brightens so much he almost doesn’t look like he hasn’t gotten a wink of sleep. (Almost.)
“Um, yeah. But…” Ed clears his throat. “Can I…uh…tell you what it is somewhere else? Like…in a more private place?”

When Izzy first woke after losing his leg, he has the memories of a man long dead in his head and discovers that he is the reincarnation of one of the last true Druids. With that comes the knowledge that Frenchie, the man he has come to care about very deeply, was his lover in that long distant life.
He also has the knowledge of how he can reclaim not only his memories of that past life but the power he wielded. However the path is difficult, and if it fails, there will be no second chance.
