A 2012 rewrite of the 1987 episode April Fool. When an emperor of a foreign country reveals a newly discovered mineral to the world, Shredder and Krang scheme to steal it for their sinister purposes. At the same time, several of the turtles' female friends, human and mutant alike, are honorary guests at a ball hosted by said emperor and his daughter. However, the princess looks a lot like April O'Neil and a case of mistaken identity causes the turtles to take action. But in the amongst of action, a couple of attractions sow the seeds of love... Candace x OC, eventual Jennika x OC and Mondo Gecko x OC, one-sided April x Donatello, takes place in the 2012 show.
