Summary
Jeff only means to warn Tankhun Theerapanyakun about a death he sees coming. It should end there: one vision, one saved life, one awkward thank-you, then Jeff can go home to Alan and pretend his hands are not still shaking.
Tankhun has other plans.
By midnight, Jeff has three bodyguards, a plate of mango sticky rice he did not ask for, and a silk pajama set Tankhun calls “emotionally necessary.” Babe is furious. Alan is polite in a way that makes Kinn’s security team nervous. Porsche thinks the whole thing is funny until Jeff sees another future, one where X-Hunter and the Theerapanyakun family tear each other apart.
The problem is, the vision feels wrong.
Too clean. Too arranged. Too much like bad drama.
And Tankhun, of all people, is the first one to say it out loud: someone is staging the future. -

Being in shape was something Jeff had always prided himself on, and restricting what he ate helped him maintain it. So what if he seemed obsessed with his diet? There were plenty of people watch what they ate and worked out every day. If counting every calorie and pushing himself in the gym helped him stay in shape, so be it.

Summary
He isn’t quite sure how he ends up in his car, keys in the engine, a low thrum beneath his fingertips on the steering wheel. Disappointment settles in his stomach, nauseatingly thick as he swallows the product of his hypersalivation.
“Fuck,” he whispers, as if juvenile frustration could do anything for him now. His hands curl, first around the wheel and then into fists which slam against it. He feels dull and lifeless in a way that he does not often feel like unless he is thinking about his father, or the current political climate, or when his phone is lifeless and he has no choice but to sit with his own thoughts. But Abed is expecting him, and so he stuffs every crushing thought into the pit in his chest and shifts the car into drive.

Jeff very carefully avoids looking at anyone except his (presently very annoying) beta friend. “Abed… I think you’re reading into some things.”
“I don’t think so,” Abed replies, but not in an argumentative tone. “I think you’ve been afraid of letting the group in for a long time, but that slowly letting your cinnamony scent come through represents you slowly becoming a more emotionally open person.”
“Abed,” Jeff says in a warning tone.
“…And your story ends with you becoming the omega who’s scent-dependent on his pack.”
Jeff slams his hand down on the table hard, making most of the group jump, and glares at Abed fiercely. “I am not scent-dependent on the study group,” He says sharply. “And I never will be.”
