“Grace, you might want to check that out. Could be another ship,” Rocky said while aiming his texture monitor at the Petrovascope, trying to make sense of the shape the sensors were painting for him.
“A little busy here, Buddy.” Grace sighed, focused on not tripping over the xenonite chain Rocky had started working on for the collection unit. The outline was wrong for debris. Wrong for a ship. Too small. Too… Rocky worked through the shape again, methodically, and then stopped. “No, not a ship. I do not have word. Grace, what is your word for thing that is not where it should be?” Grace opened his mouth to answer, then closed it. Something in the way Rocky mentioned it made him move without thinking. He pulled himself to the Petrovascope and looked.
What he saw made every coherent thought leave his head all at once. Floating in the middle of the Petrova line, like a piece of lost cargo, was a person. An actual person in what looked like some kind of spacesuit he didn’t recognize, alive, barely, from what he could tell by the way they were moving, slow and disoriented but moving, and absolutely nowhere near where any person should be.
“Holy hel—moly.” Grace breathed.

In a younger planet after Titan Station’s destruction and his subsequent transportation; blood is money and credits are worth null, Isaac Clarke finds a stray in the street: a broken —powerful— thing that mutters to himself and Isaac wanted to fix him, needed to help someone.

V wasn’t expecting to wake up 1,000 years into the future after he was put into cryostasis, where the fuck was everyone anyways? Atleast one familiar fucking asshole was here… damn brain parasite!
GLaDOS wasn’t expecting a human wearing tribal gear and a focus to stumble in to her facility with an RK800, nor with two men in technically advanced space suits. Her data servers told her it’s been roughly 1,000 years since she shut down.
Connor never expected to wake up from forced stasis deep within Cyberlife’s facility, at least not as a deviant with his memories as intact as he can be for something 1,000 years old.
Issac never expected to wake up to a Earth run by machines and tribal humans, he never expected it to survive the Brethren Moons, he didn’t expect him to actually make it off of the Ishumura, Aegis 7, Titian- let alone the CMS Terra Nova.
Hiccup never expected to find an entire world outside of the archipelago and the water surrounding it filled with beings made entirely of metal.

Body modification became a lot more affordable, safe and possible after years with humans missing the animals that used to exist in abudance on Earth. While some use these genes to make these come to existance again, others use it to change themselves.
Despite knowing how hard to reverse those effects were, Isaac decided to give it a try and recover some of the control over his life he often lacked. Being happy with those changes, he decided to show it to one of his closest friends only to realize he also gave it a try. Not only that, but the effects he got were unexpected even to him.
