Summary
A grand reinvisioning of the Metroid universe focused around the lives of Samus and Arne, once intended to be Sylux but now branched off into an adjacent character; from the earliest days to every major chapter of their lives as they experience and shape the greatest time of crisis in an aeon. Whether it's grand missions or simple, quiet moments of day to day life, the story is fundamentally about what is like to grow up as a youth in the far future as the status quo crumbles away and far more uncertain and dangerous times await, and what it is like to be born human but raised by alien beings who are all but myth to most and to bear the burden of great expectations.
All comments & feedback welcome. Even the silly ones.
Undergoing fairly extensive rewrites to fix some internal continuity errors. The overall plot won't change though.

Summary
Base elements are so often dismissed in favour of rarer, ‘noble’ ones. They are common, inexpensive, reactive, often tainted with other materials.
But their essential nature should never be denied, and their contributions no less ‘noble’ than their more rarefied peers.
In the wake of the Bottle Ship incident, Samus Aran finds herself struggling to trust the Galactic Federation, and a subsequent good-faith mission lands her in mortal peril aboard the Biologic Space Labs station. Although she is able to reunite with an old friend since thought lost, their reconciliation must be put on hold as more dire pressures arise. Still embattled by bitterness and betrayal, Samus must contend with both her own experiences and her own nature to forge a safe path forward, wherever it may lead.
Sometimes the universe’s most delicate, complicated issues have shockingly simple solutions.
