Vi, a talented jazz pianist, owns ‘The Last Drop’ with ex-wife Sarah Fortune—a once-glorious live-music burlesque club fallen into hard times since the death of Vi’s father, the original owner. Dancers with too much ego, a strained ex-marriage gluing the place together, and revenue that seems to disappear into thin air; the club is on the brink of financial ruin. One night, a navy-haired, runaway ballerina witnesses the show from the back of the room, and yearns for the burlesque stage. Caitlyn resolves to hire herself as a waitress, and refuses to take no for an answer. Vi finds her frustration toward the stubborn dancer molds into something far hotter, despite her best efforts.
And when Caitlyn laid eyes on Vi, she was doomed from the start—because that attraction could crack open secrets of her past that should really stay hidden.

The stage was set like this: cardboard bushes and a painted forest backdrop framed the main props of two columns dressed as pine trees positioned a few feet apart. Ryuunosuke and Kazuma stood in between them, Kazuma’s arms cradling Ryuunosuke’s waist and Ryuunosuke’s head leaned down to rest against his partner’s chest. His nose was full of the clean smell of Kazuma’s green kimono and the sharp tang of the white face paint they both wore. Ryuunosuke had on the white robes of a funeral with the only spots of colour the soft blue of his obi and the crimson rouge painting his eyes and lips. If they were going to turn the ending of this tragic play into a disrespectful tease show, they could at least pay their respects to the proper set dressing.
The curtain rose.
Showtime.
