The silence was thick enough to cut with a knife.
"You’ll have to play a role."
Aizawa exhaled through his nose, trying not to smirk.
Aizawa sipped his coffee. “Because, thanks to your very persistent begging, you’re now going undercover.”
Another pause.
Bakugo’s entire body tensed. “Undercover as what?”
Even with his efforts, Aizawa’s lips had curled into something that was almost a smirk.
"You’ll be going undercover as a couple."
Midoriya and Bakugo were just trying to prove themselves as heroes-in-training. Begging Aizawa to let them help with a mission seemed like a great idea—until he actually agreed. Now, they're stuck going undercover as a couple to lure out a villain who only targets people in relationships.
Fake dates, awkward moments, and way too many questions from their classmates are bad enough. But between Bakugo’s temper, Midoriya’s overthinking, and a villain who seems way too good at making things uncomfortable, pretending might turn out to be harder than they thought.
