Welcome to the my fanfic series based on the 2025 SRPG The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- in which I changed parts of the original game’s lore, mostly surrounding Takumi’s origin story to make him a darker protagonist. Before reading this, I suggest you all see the original game’s 100 endings to know what’s going on. This fanfic also contains MASSIVE SPOILERS for the entirety of the original game. So I suggest completing all 100 Endings (Or at least the endings of the LDA 1st Scenario, LDA 2nd Scenario, Killing Game, Coming-of-Age, Eva, V’ehxness, and S.F. Routes) before reading this series

Even though I really liked this game, Takumi Sumino, as a protagonist, was kinda too normal, too much of an Everyman, for me at least. He was also constantly being roasted by his teammates and was never acknowledged for his efforts in protecting his friends. So, in here, I’ll make some changes to his origin story, the game’s lore, and the story’s progression to give our self-insert-ish, ‘normie’ protagonist a darker character arc. I’ve decided to make some changes. For example, all the SDU members now are at least 18 years old in this fanfic (Except for the Tsukumo twins, they are both 16). I’ve also decided to change some Class Weapons. For example, Nozomi’s Class Weapon is now a Gunblade and Takemaru’s is a Greatsword. And I’ve also decided to name the monster form of the Futuran Commanders and the final form of Eito in his boss fight, Crypto-Armored form, and Cryptoanima form, respectively. Also, since this is kind of a rewrite, I’m gonna add more (non-canon) lore to the original story and change some of the original lore. Curious? Please read this fic to find out. Also, I’ve updated Takumi’s design based on a cool fanart I saw. The main ship of this fanfic is, of course, gonna be Takumi X Nozomi/Karua, and it’s because the base game didn’t have a proper romance route between these two. Every single route of The Hundred Line is literally ruining Takumi’s chance of getting together with Nozomi. It's like if this game wants you to ship them but at the same time, its putting every possible obstacle in front of you so you can’t romance Nozomi in ANY Route. I really, really wanted Takumi and Nozomi to kiss at the end of Coming-of-Age Route like how Takumi kissed Hiruko, Tsubasa, Kyoshika, and EVEN Kurara in each of their routes. I hope we get a proper Takuzomi DLC route where Takumi and Nozomi FINALLY kiss (Or at least hug in a CG), and get more affectionate. To sum it up, my reasons for writing this fanfic is because of improving Takumi as a protagonist, and my disappointment for the lack of a proper Takumi X Nozomi romance route in the original game, and I hope we get one as DLC. I've also added BGM from Hundred Line (mainly), Fire Emblem, and other sources to fit the vibe of each scene indicated by the ♪ symbol. BTW, I recommend putting the music on repeat/loop until you reach a point where you have to change it. Also, this is one of my first fanfics, so don’t expect it to be perfect. Anyway, without further ado, let’s begin.
