Summary
A grief comedy starring one man, one son, and a thousand bad coping mechanisms.
It’s been a month since Lord Death’s passing. Kid, newly ascended and freshly coronated, has thrown himself into work, wearing composure like a mask. He strives to be everything everyone needs: a leader, a symbol, a son who doesn’t falter.
But beneath the surface, the ache lingers. Grief doesn’t fade with duty.
What comforts Kid most is knowing he’s not the only one who didn’t get the memo to move on—and that Spirit, in all his flawed tenderness, offers distraction not to erase the pain, but to make space for surviving it. Usually with bad jokes, worse timing, and hot tea (take that as you will).
And maybe, in helping Kid heal, Spirit might finally begin to forgive himself.

Summary
The faculty of DWMA meet up every Thursday afternoon for hot drinks, mild chaos, and questionable snacks. This week, it's Stein's turn to provide the treats.
He's forsaken his German roots and brought something savoury—for the Greater Good, of course.
It is time to show everyone what real bread is.
The reception is... let's say, mixed.
Prepare for rye, banter, and Spirit getting dramatically manhandled.
Minor update September 7, a few tweaks for emotional clarity, flow, and increased loving cruelty. And new Title, sorry. ;)

Summary
“A sound soul dwells within a sound mind and a sound body.”
When Kid comes across Spirit mid-training, it’s clear the man takes the saying very seriously. Kid suspects he might’ve misinterpreted the “sound” part, though. Who gave this man a Walkman?

Summary
Okay, so things didn't go according to plan. It was risky, he almost died, yada yada. Spirit knows. That's why—despite it being the right call—he took his verbal lashing with grace (somewhat) and he said sorry (technically).
Problem is, Stein still won't let it go. He keeps wanting to talk about it. And Spirit is, unfortunately, allergic to that kind of accountability. Also unfairness. Which, by the way, is what Stein is.
Luckily, the art of apologizing was part of Kid's curriculum growing up. He has plenty of knowledge to bestow upon his bickering faculty.
- Kid's thrilled to help Spirit structure a science-backed apology.
- Stein's thrilled to see something go into Spirit's ear without immediately falling out the other.
- And Spirit... well, he's thrilled to have Stein not-angry.
...But also to make him pay.Set after "Emotional Support Himbo: Please Don’t Ask How He’s Doing" and contains some references, but you don't need to read it first.

How do you console someone when your own heart is breaking?
Spirit’s not a model father—nor did he learn from one—but as agonized wails tear through Kid’s body, he knows he has to try.
Even as his own cries want out, he needs Kid to be safe.
A prequel to “Emotional Support Himbo: Please Don’t Ask How He’s Doing,” set in the first week after Kid’s ascension.

Summary
Stein finds Spirit flopped in a pathetic pile on his couch—sniffling, coughing, and generally painfully perishing (per his own observation).
In other words, Spirit has a cold.
And he obviously wants to be fussed over.
Stein doesn’t do fussing—he doesn’t even feel that sorry for Spirit—but he’s very efficient. If Spirit is left baffled by the remedies, Stein couldn’t care less. His objective is clear: manage the symptoms, manage Spirit, and get some work done in between.

Summary
“There was a fire, your dad found it funnier than mine did, and then I changed name. Happy?”
Sorting through Lord Death’s personal archives, Kid finds drawings, trinkets—and an old, redacted file about Spirit. But one thing is off: it doesn’t actually say “Spirit” Albarn. Spirit admits he changed his name as a teen. It all started with a fire, he says, after his and Stein’s indoor-smoking escapade came to an abrupt (and dangerous) end.
Kid expects another chaotic student-time story. Spirit tries to keep it that way. It’s just—Kid doesn’t laugh.
With Spirit as Kid’s last real link to Lord Death, Kid still pushes for answers—gently but relentlessly—and Spirit finds his poorly glued-together clown-mask cracking. And Stein, who’s never been much fooled by Spirit’s antics, is torn between staying out of it and holding the pieces together.
Set after Emotional Support Himbo: Please Don’t Ask How He’s Doing and Applied Apologetics: A Field Guide. Very few direct references, but the characters’ bonds are written accordingly.
