Three pairs of eyes stare at the dragon in silence, before Stelle says, “Cool. Can you make it rain so I don't have to go to botany class today?”
Or, undergraduate mage Dan Heng summons a very unusual familiar, and things just keep getting stranger from there.

Summary
They’d done this song and dance for ages. One of them traveling to see the other, spending the time together like they had all of it in the world, and then burning the last few days at both ends, trying to squeeze out every drop of each other’s presence before time was up.
Each time, it gets harder and harder for Ren to say goodbye.
Or, Ren and Jing Yuan clear some misunderstandings.
